What is SEO?
Search engine optimisation is the process undertaken to achieve a good search engine position for chosen keywords, which in turn increases traffic and hopefully revenue. If you are new to SEO and don't really know what it is about, we have written an article on effective SEO techniques, click here to have a read.
SEO should focus on particular keywords/keyphrases (the queries people type into search engines such as: Google, Yahoo, Bing or Ask). An effective SEO campaign should look at both the internal and external elements of your website. This ensures that you are competetive with similar site who target the similar keywords and should improve your website's search engine ranking.
So if you are farmiliar, or have done some research on SEO you should be asking yourself these questions questions...
- Has my website been coded optimally for search engines?
- Does my website need a blog?
- Does my website have an XML sitemap? If so does it have any errors?
- Does my site see a good amount of unique & repeat visits
- How low is my bounce rate?
- Does my site have any or many good quality backlinks?
- Do I need to participate in social networking?
- How fast does my website load?
These are the questions you should be asking yourself if you are serious about obtaining a good search engine position. When doing your research or looking for a company to carry out SEO, you will almost certainly come accross conflicting information and advice. SEO companies often speak in technical terms which can be confusing for someone with little or no knowledge of search engine optimisation. That is why we believe it is best to keep things simple.

But we believe we understand the right mix of elements to ensure a good rank; Offer your users unique, quality content, a site that is user friendly and good quality backlinks. How to get started...
Before getting started it is essential that we undertake some keyword research, understand your business and analyse your competitors (who is currently page one and why?). This is not available in our starter package.
2. Your Website
An important part of SEO is analysing your website. We would need to see how it has been coded & structured and provide suggestions on how it could be improved. Costs for this can vary depending on how your site has been built and/or whether you would like us to carry out updates to make your website search engine optimal.
3. Sitemap & Social
Next, we will build and submit an XML sitemap which is essential for Google to understand and index your website.
We also strongly suggest (if you don't already) having a social media presnece. Ideally you should have both Facebook & Twitter accounts that are regularly updated. We can also assist you in management & branding your profile pages if required.
4. Kick off the Campaign
Once all necessary research and modifications have been done, we will then be in a position to start your SEO campaign. This involves us building backlinks and regularly adding content to your website increasing your popularity with Google, thus improving organic search results.
How long does a campaign last?
The Web Taylor offers three SEO packages; Starter, Premium & Enterprise. Each of these packages has a minimum run time of 3 months. It is not unusual for a campaign to take several months to see page one results, so we strongly recommend sticking with it for 6 months, however after 3 months you should see your rankings improve.
To give you peace of ming that we are doing everything we can to obtain your page 1 results, we also send you a monthly report.
