With the internet market place getting ever more competitive, we have noticed in the Web Design market that one big player has ramped up their marketing and started advertising their template website creation services on the television. As a skilled, talented web design & SEO agency, we see this as a bit of an insult to the profession. I think a good way to explain the difference between 1&1 MyWebsite and a business such as ours is; 1&1 is like shopping at Lidl and TheWebTaylor is like shopping at M&S (Marks & Spencers). Though shopping at Lidl (1&1 MyWebsite) is slightly cheaper, the quality of what you pay for is in a different league to M&S (TheWebTaylor).

One notable difference between the two services is the use of templates. Yes 1&1 MyWebsite let you choose from a vast range of templates, but inevitably someone out there is going to have the same website as you… In our opinion this is not very professional! When preparing for a new website design project we will always send our client a “mock” design of what the site could look like. The client can then provide us with their feedback to ensure they are getting the site they want. Our designs are 100% bespoke to your needs and your business and this is truly reflected in the end product (the website).

We believe also that dealing with a big company for things like sales and support is a much more difficult process compared to dealing with smaller agencies like TheWebTaylor. Contacting and dealing with us is simple, there is no holding music, you won’t be passed from pillar to post and you will always deal with the same person.
